What to Bring: 

Check List of what is required of you for
the mechanized avalanche course

Backcountry Gear List:

• Transceiver
• Probe
• Shovel

For this course there will be some suggested gear:

• Down Jacket for standing around in
• Toque. You don’t want to be standing in your sledding helmet for 4 hours
• Snacks and/or lunch and warm drinks for break time
• Warm boots and gloves. Once again you will be in the field and not have the conveyance of on sled warmers.

* Please keep in mind that you will be in the field all day long so dress warm and carry anything that you might need for the day along with you.
